Show your support for web standards

Jeffery Zeldman’s 3rd annual International Blue Beanie Day in Support of Web Standards, easily remembered as IBBDiSoWS, kicks off Monday, November 30th. It’s extremely easier and fun to participate. Simply pop on a blue beanie and snap a photo of yourself and upload it to the Blue Beanie Day 2009 Flickr photo pool, or photoshop one on your favorite Twitter/Facebook/LinkedIn/Tumblr avatar and pronounce your support for web standards. All the information you could want can be found on Zeldman’s blog:

Why should I support Blue Beanie Day?

Jefferey Zeldman and A List Apart have been providing immensely helpful content for years in the form of techniques and best practices in code, content, design and even occasionally legal advice.  Wearing a blue beanie for a day is a small way of saying THANKS!

Why should I support Web Standards?

That’s a big question I’ll gladly hand over to an FAQ written the smartest folks on the subject, The Web Standards Project: What are web standards and why should I use them?
